Securing a Joomla 2.5 module - Joomla! Forum - community, help and support
hi all,
a question knows way more joomla security do.
i built site client , they've had great success promoting on social sites.
they have fb button on homepage. had been getting 10-20 likes per day helped drive traffic.
here's strange part. suspect employee working @ isp has been tinkering site , module. site taken offline couple of hours (they suspect him) on busiest day of week. 3rd time happened within 10 weeks.
when client notified isp latest outage, employee jumped in fix 'the problem' - no explanation why happened. when person brought site online button visible disabled. when asked - employee had no idea. no explanation. however, next day few hundred likes disappeared module display.
i uninstalled/reinstalled module - didn't fix problem.
is there way website owner can ensure module secured this? - prevent isp employee (of people) getting site , doing shouldn't?
i know sounds odd scenario i'm unsure of best approach. can't proven employee has done wrong, client wants button back!
any appreciated.
