Thread: Gtalk for ubuntu

hi all

hoping placing in correct thread.

running ubuntu 10.04 on notebook , due issues encountered decided upgrade 11.04.

faced following, on ubuntu 10.04 there gtalk client installed using ubuntu software centre (if remember correctly) , worked wonderfully.

after upgrading, unable find such clients not on net.

have tried install windows version using wine did not work , produces errors.

there can me find gtalk client know exists using not have in local repository (which means installed ubuntu software centre keep downloads.)


appreciate if can assist me in use gtalk communicate staff members @ other sites, , clients pidgin,etc... not work me.

for google talk, can use empathy (preinstalled), pidgin or dozen of other clients.

offer chat, others offer audio too, or video.

google uses jabber or xmpp protocol. im client supports jabber do.

After Effect warning: A problem occurred when processing OpenGL commands

i have after effects cs6 in computer cs5.5 installed. 64bit windows 7 ultimate 20gb memory , 2 amd radeon hd 6900 series display adapters drivers updated hour ago (driver date 27.7.2012, version 8.982.0.0).   when trying use after ecffects, error message " after effect warning: problem occurred when processing opengl commands " when clicking composition window.   what done? not much, i'm afraid. need older graphics driver. other disable second card or play configuration. unfortunately not smart person decided cs6 no longer need manual opengl control user, there's no way suppress within program force-revert software-only modes in case of such issues...   mylenium More discussions in After Effects adobe
