Media SERVER Ideas Required

hi,

 

hope well, been while, thats beacuse ive been busy , have had no issues far current steup. 

 

i going build new pc system take load of main editing suite, , looking build media server. purpose of media server have central data storage sytem raid. , have 2x pc systems connected media server.

 

i have found interesting video on vimeo:

 

could feedback please regarding this. , parts used. or advise on similar setup.

 

 

parts used:

 

a regular sandybridge cpu/motherboard/ddr3 ram combo

1 x 8-port sas raid controller

2 x 24 port sas expanders

1x  24 bay chassis backplanes

2 x infiniband cards

12 x 2tb seagate hdds

1 x hardrigg case 19" rails

1 x apc 3000 ups

1 x 950w psu

 

also dont understand 2x sas cards ideas this.

you able use server file repository, have read before (see below) ppro not work "directly" edit files on server

After Effect warning: A problem occurred when processing OpenGL commands

i have after effects cs6 in computer cs5.5 installed. 64bit windows 7 ultimate 20gb memory , 2 amd radeon hd 6900 series display adapters drivers updated hour ago (driver date 27.7.2012, version 8.982.0.0).   when trying use after ecffects, error message " after effect warning: problem occurred when processing opengl commands " when clicking composition window.   what done? not much, i'm afraid. need older graphics driver. other disable second card or play configuration. unfortunately not smart person decided cs6 no longer need manual opengl control user, there's no way suppress within program force-revert software-only modes in case of such issues...   mylenium More discussions in After Effects adobe
