Thread: Natty 11.04 Installed, PC Massively Slowed Down?

hi everyone,

thought i'd ask in seperate thread given pc's background. may have messed prior caused problem, opposed natty itself. or might problem natty, don't know.

friend of mine gave me gaming pc she'd had. came partitioned, ubuntu (not sure of version) running in 14gb, , 130 held off windows. decided against buying copy of windows, used gparted unetbootin delete partition, expand ubuntu partition backwards on it. messed ubuntu (a risk i'd been willing take, since new anyway), downloaded recent version onto dvd , booted that.

since then, computer has run compared how did before. 1 variable may time set encrypt home folder.

far i've tried switching desktop environment (it's set gnome, tried unity 2d), , downloading ubuntu tweak (haven't fiddled in yet, though). thinking of unencrypting home folder see if that's problem. it's 2gb machine, , ran ubuntu lot faster before.

i'd appreciate this.

After Effect warning: A problem occurred when processing OpenGL commands

i have after effects cs6 in computer cs5.5 installed. 64bit windows 7 ultimate 20gb memory , 2 amd radeon hd 6900 series display adapters drivers updated hour ago (driver date 27.7.2012, version 8.982.0.0).   when trying use after ecffects, error message " after effect warning: problem occurred when processing opengl commands " when clicking composition window.   what done? not much, i'm afraid. need older graphics driver. other disable second card or play configuration. unfortunately not smart person decided cs6 no longer need manual opengl control user, there's no way suppress within program force-revert software-only modes in case of such issues...   mylenium More discussions in After Effects adobe
