hi all,

okay, i've got proposal build website. client sponsors sports teams , wants fan support site.

i've built static websites before , excuse need jump joomla (which chose wordpress , drupal). i've started learning, via lynda.com. i've got pretty solid base of html , css, , reasonable understanding of other tech such javascript, sql etc. i'm branching out core business of graphic design photoshop etc & client management given.

i'll have pretty 6 weeks beginning end, on plus side, i've been made redundant :) i'll have plenty of spare time.

the client going want facility fans upload photos, polls, , sort of commenting system fans.

do think attempting much? i've seen far, i'm confident of basics. correct in thinking functions listed above achieved adding extensions base joomla configuration? , there's nothing complex in there? i've built automated document generation system using xml, javascript , indesign doesn't onerous thought i'd ask before submitting quote.

no doubt i'll have plenty of questions further down track feedback on how others have tackled on-ramp reassuring.

as relative newbie joomla myself, think objective achievable given background experience , knowledge.

you're right in thinking you'll have use extensions of functionality want aware can burn lot of time in downloading, installing, configuring , reviewing extensions i'd recommend doing lot of research first , talking other developers.

depending upon web host, installation, upgrading etc can take time coming terms process.

i'd suggest looking @ ebook helped me lot overall process of starting website scratch in joomla beginner:

you can pretty functioning website it's bells , whistles take time.

After Effect warning: A problem occurred when processing OpenGL commands

i have after effects cs6 in computer cs5.5 installed. 64bit windows 7 ultimate 20gb memory , 2 amd radeon hd 6900 series display adapters drivers updated hour ago (driver date 27.7.2012, version 8.982.0.0).   when trying use after ecffects, error message " after effect warning: problem occurred when processing opengl commands " when clicking composition window.   what done? not much, i'm afraid. need older graphics driver. other disable second card or play configuration. unfortunately not smart person decided cs6 no longer need manual opengl control user, there's no way suppress within program force-revert software-only modes in case of such issues...   mylenium More discussions in After Effects adobe
