Context between Export Bitrate Settings and Camera Bitrate?

hi all

 

is there context between ppro 6 export bitrate settings h.264 blu ray , camera bitrate e.g. 17mbps? read high values in export settings e.g. 25 mbps target , 30 mbps max. can degrade image quality due recalculation.

regardless of source video format or output encode settings, video transcoded, recalculated, whatever wish call it, final output. i've never heard video worse if encode higher bitrate source was. don't believe read on web.

 

that said, it's true won't see obvious difference in blu-ray quality between 25mbps or 30mbps instance...your video can "so good" , cranking data rate higher won't make difference. might find looks great @ 20mbps, have used hdv sources long-form videos.
