DITA and SharePoint Integration--FM11 (TCS4)

we're moving dita , exploring our options tools. we're considering tcs4; we'd use fm authoring , publishing , rh additional publishing outputs. we're interested in using dita cms, since we're sharepoint 2010 site, we're wondering if can leverage new sharepoint integration instead. can shed light on this? thanks!

we're trying use fm10 , sharepoint dita.  looks can done, lot of customization. , mean lot.

the main sticking point (it seems me after few months of on-and-off work in area) sharepoint lacks concept of interdependent files. in sp world, every file assumed self-contained. when work on file, you're not concerned how relates other files in repository.

with dita, on other hand, relationship everything. if update file or rename or remove it, care effect on other files might referencing it.  need add sharepoint not have, namely, file relationships database of kind.  , have provide user controls it.

framemaker has dependencies. example, when open topic or unstructured chapter, need access referenced images. reconcile sharepoint's lack of dependency awareness, adobe's cms connector sets sharepoint field called "fmdependency" lists files referenced file. helps frame keep track of dependencies, compared database, it's clumsy solution. in fairness, it's best adobe can without invading sharepoint installation.

the trouble i'm facing that, if decide make sharepoint relationship-aware sake of our dita implementation, , want continue including framemaker in our selection of dita editors, have work or around adobe's less optimal solution.

another issue concerns metadata. want able select topics title or shortdesc. first have metadata sharepoint list. (we've set code runs @ checkin this.) want use -- , there's no provision in cms connector. have use browser find files, , open connector , hunt them down full list in order check them out , work on them. same goes audience or product metadata.

we're pressing on because company rolling out sharepoint, , hell-bent on using everything. if it's option you, recommend finding real dita cms.
