Flash Settings Frozen in Firefox

i have 3 dell desktop units, xp pro sp3, firefox v5.0.1 installed on each, along ie 8 , chrome v20.0.1132.57.

 

flash player settings dialog box functions in browsers on 3 pcs, exception of ff on unit 'a'.  had been working properly, before virus (exp/2012-0507.cg) had been detected in java deployment\cache file.  attempts use system restore function failed on previous restore points.

 

i have individually, , collectively, uninstalled , reinstalled firefox, adobe flash player , java, deleting personal profile , stored data. updated flash v11.3.300.271 , java v7.5, no change in lack of settings functionality in ff on unit.

 

i've made whole-hearted effort compare registry entries between units, using java, mozilla, firefox, macromedia, adobe , flash search terms in regedit , did not find entries did not match.

 

well aware of work-around of using website-based settings manager , global settings panel, these not perform 1 function require in being able select webcam options.  use number of different cams , virtual cam/video programs in streaming on various websites - of not have separate controls built-in flash players allow selecting video source.

 

am hoping there's 'guru' out there can me avoid full reformat of unit regain function!!

After Effect warning: A problem occurred when processing OpenGL commands

i have after effects cs6 in computer cs5.5 installed. 64bit windows 7 ultimate 20gb memory , 2 amd radeon hd 6900 series display adapters drivers updated hour ago (driver date 27.7.2012, version 8.982.0.0).   when trying use after ecffects, error message " after effect warning: problem occurred when processing opengl commands " when clicking composition window.   what done? not much, i'm afraid. need older graphics driver. other disable second card or play configuration. unfortunately not smart person decided cs6 no longer need manual opengl control user, there's no way suppress within program force-revert software-only modes in case of such issues...   mylenium More discussions in After Effects adobe
