Icon issues with Snow Leopard upgrade

overall, recent snow leopard (10.6.8) upgrade on macpro went well. have 1 strange quirk, else has experienced , can with. has icon illustrator .eps file showing incorrectly.

 

specifically: in folders illustrator eps files created before upgrade, icon shows incorrectly. (a default looking icon.)  make more weird, if go "view options", , uncheck "show icon preview", icon show correctly.

 

in folders illustrator eps files created after upgrade, icons show correctly. however, in view options, "show icon preview" box unchecked! 

 

so, i'm getting opposite result view options menu.

 

anybody know what's going on here?

the old eps files did not have icon preview them, use default icon. newer files have icon preview being shown when "show icon preview" enabled.

 

if don't need icon previews, turn them off in view options, , check use defaults. computer run faster, on folders lots of files.

 

you can cmd on .eps file, , change applicaiton these "open with" when double clicking, change default icon.

After Effect warning: A problem occurred when processing OpenGL commands

i have after effects cs6 in computer cs5.5 installed. 64bit windows 7 ultimate 20gb memory , 2 amd radeon hd 6900 series display adapters drivers updated hour ago (driver date 27.7.2012, version 8.982.0.0).   when trying use after ecffects, error message " after effect warning: problem occurred when processing opengl commands " when clicking composition window.   what done? not much, i'm afraid. need older graphics driver. other disable second card or play configuration. unfortunately not smart person decided cs6 no longer need manual opengl control user, there's no way suppress within program force-revert software-only modes in case of such issues...   mylenium More discussions in After Effects adobe
