"SEF" in joomla 3.0 - how to use my own URL - Joomla! Forum - community, help and support

how have same url had before?

joomla supports sef urls default adds numbers , default doesn't allow set url have. example have simple html site intend move joomla.

the way links made is:
example.com/spicychicken.html

this indexed in google , keep link in new joomla article.

well better & nicer url understand 1 has use apache rewrite mod. still exploring option , haven't installed yet.

i had @ plugins such example: joomsef free
however of plugins 2.5 version of joomla. , after installing 2.5 , using plugin ruined links subsites.

my primary use of 3.0 have template , ready mobile. plan expand area well. not sure if possible achieve 2.5. there simple way tell joomla use these links (that indexed google) instead of creating it's owns? why such functionality not there out of box? perhaps should feature.

i need old links shown now, new links can use default joomla form believe.

re having same urls not sure if can if site multilingual e.g. on test site use core joomla sef , apache mod-rewrite , have 2 letter country codes e.g.
http://test.example.com/en/contact , http://test.example.com/tr/iletisim

however if site has 1 language suspect should able mod-rewrite , core sef - not have example.

re mobile using supplied joomla protostar template in testing - looks nice on mobile far.
