No waveform when recording with a microphone.

i run silly yt channel , wanted better audio, bought simple lavoulier mic audio technica or something. after spending time getting mic levels decent spot on camcorder took severl clips on pprocs6 , placed them on timeline. these clips, there no waveform on main timeline aside occasional spike @ beggining of clip.

 

my workflow may silly, use razor tool while playing clip on timeline , cut audio rid of ahh's , umm's , use waveform quite bit visually see these words (obviously) not having it, i'm hampered since can go through , make bunch of cuts either silent areas or spots know i'm mumbling or stuttering , delete of eroneous clips. it's not same bringing waveform in source monitor since can't make more 1 cut @ time using in/out marks. or @ leas don't know how.

 

so, there way waveform these clips made mic? using built in mic on camera makes great waveforms, not while using external mic.

can hear sound? perhaps recorded @ such low level can't see waveform. try raising audio gain of track. best solution sort out recording levels.
