Thread: GLX Video Acceleration with ATI/NVIDIA 3-monitor setup?
hello all,
i'm running three-monitor setup, 2 of monitors being connected nvidia card, , third being connected motherboard's onboard ati adapter. works, , works quite well, after installing nvidia-current drivers (using gnome dialog), unable video acceleration going. glx module doesn't seem want load, , while i'm quite impressed video performance i'm getting open-source drivers, i'd have opengl capability, make things prettier.
ideas? relevant configs , logs below. thanks!
edit: i should clarify - don't care 3rd monitor on ati adapter; i'm concerned getting opengl working on 2 on nvidia - if that's possible, may not be...

i under impression xinerama did not work opengl/glx..this not personal experience..
xinerama seems heading history books..possiblly no bad thing.
log file tells composite not supported xinerama.
limited understanding & nvidia driver readme states:
1. primary x screen must nvidia gpu.
2. identical gpus recommended.
3. intersection of capabilities across gpus advertised.
4. if gpu incompatible rest of xinerama desktop no opengl on screen.
5. opengl acceleration disabled on non nvidia x server screens.
6. max screen 8kx8k 9800gt ?
