i have had windows 7 rtm installed on machine since day before released general public (technet), gone through every update, , several install , uninstall of several applications. have yet invoke system repair function except, disk cleanup. still running champ. don't think noticed slowdowns, , , hardware hooked up, windows found drivers it, , if didn't, pulled linux out of it's hat, , downloaded them without hiccup. service pack 1, use daily right along gentoo/kde. have never in time spent computers seen microsoft good.

else same story? thoughts on if windows 8 work decently? believe if weren't linux (ubuntu specifically) still using vista every issue released with. goes show linux clear winner here brain stem. believe advent of kde 4.7, unity, , xfce likes of microsoft thing of past unless windows 8 brings more shiny wp7 interface.

although lot of may think may be, there serious problem facing microsoft. has chase it's own tail in order keep "perceived" awesomeness of xp. hated xp inception sp3, didn't it. if microsoft changes things risk losing likes of ubuntu.

microsoft does. believe why microsoft survived vista fiasco, small fraction. believe forces be, protected linux community have turned ugly fast. believe microsoft may have learned , better involved, including linux , community.
