Can't Restart Elements After Closing

i have fresh install of elements on new computer. when close elements cannot relaunch program without either rebooting computer or logging off current user.

 

while poking around found when close elements keeps running in background. found "photoshop elements 10.0 exe" process still running in window's task manger after elements closed. image below taken elements closed. when stop process running, can relaunch elements without rebooting.

 

i spent on hour on 2 different support chats , not resolved. said permission issue , software must installed administrator account. uninstalled software , reinstalled administrator's accout , still same problem.

 

any ideas on why elements continues run when close it, or solution problem is?

 

any appreciated.

bypass unwelcome screen creating desktop shortcuts organizer , editor, , restarting computer.

 

the editor's executable is:

"c:\program files (x86)\adobe\photoshop elements 10\photoshopelementseditor.exe"

 

the organizer's executable is:

"c:\program files (x86)\adobe\elements 10 organizer\photoshopelementsorganizer.exe"

 

the unwelcome screen leaves zombie process running prevents actual program launching again.

After Effect warning: A problem occurred when processing OpenGL commands

i have after effects cs6 in computer cs5.5 installed. 64bit windows 7 ultimate 20gb memory , 2 amd radeon hd 6900 series display adapters drivers updated hour ago (driver date 27.7.2012, version 8.982.0.0).   when trying use after ecffects, error message " after effect warning: problem occurred when processing opengl commands " when clicking composition window.   what done? not much, i'm afraid. need older graphics driver. other disable second card or play configuration. unfortunately not smart person decided cs6 no longer need manual opengl control user, there's no way suppress within program force-revert software-only modes in case of such issues...   mylenium More discussions in After Effects adobe
