File Permissions in certain folders will not change - Joomla! Forum - community, help and support

hi all,

firstly apologise essay read unnecessary information problem.

i cannot change file permissions in of folders, notably template folder using site , languages folder (which folders need access potentially cure different problem explained below). awaiting support company got template (template magician.com), can since take ages come thought perhaps know on here?

secondly - have acquired irritating issue joomla. module editing screen has different basic options depending on module using, share common problem.

i have template running , has been absolutely fine until recently. have no idea have done text labels of options on right hand side have changed long weird names such "mod_menu_field_menutype_label" , "mod_menu_field_startlevel_label"

it changed text label of search field on actual website login page. managed change combination of adjusting appropriate code , updating joomla version. have tried re-uploading modules folder of joomla installation files, main editing options still remain same long annoying lables. if knows of how reverse appreciate it.

someone mentioned may issue language files , copy new fresh joomla installation fields language, or admin/language, existing ones on site see if cured problem. have copied new language files administrator part no luck , per start of post, cannot access non admin language folder.

are 2 issues linked @ all?

quick note,

i have sorted file permission problems creating new folder called test, copying contents of problematic folder them, renaming old folder "x_languages" , calling new 1 "languages" , file permissions work treat.

still having issues basic options in modules though after replacing language files.

can help?
