Indexing with more than one NUMBER per PAGE
friends,
i know how make index uses page numbers, , works nicely.
i have been using one hymn per page.
but, want book (sometimes) has more one hymn per page.
in other words, "actual page 566" might contain number 566 , number 567.
"actual page 567" might contain number 568 , number 569.
in hymn section (200 pages out of 1100) not listing "actual page numbers" because cannot abide dual numbering systems.
friends, how can this?
can assign sort of numbering system variable each hymn ?
> can assign sort of numbering system variable each hymn ?
no, unless want re-do use automatic numbered list. cannot use index function, since that's meant use page numbers , nothing else.
what mean 1 page "might contain number 566 , number 567"? mean, what's connection actual page number? none @ all?
if so, might (ab)use table of contents, can list paragraphs in style. don't have add page numbers (that's option). end unsorted list, in order, of hymns; can use sort paragraphs script in scripts panel alphabetically sort them, index function have done proper index.
