JCE gives white screen - Joomla! Forum - community, help and support

i installed joomla 2.5.8 tried install jce editor. got following error message , when try edit article requiring editor, white screen results. had problem?
had jce on earlier versions of joomla while using editor switcher, apparently doesn't work latest joomla 2.5 version, unenabled editor switcher , changed global , personal profile editor choices jce. still, blank white screens result.

the following message comes after attempting install jce extension manager: install:

component install: db function reports no errors

error installing component

so appears wrong have no idea what. ideas on how jce appear?

usually white screen means error on engine, simple syntax error result on white screen. if call method not past of class, result on white screen, try turning on error reports on server.

uninstall jce or restore earlier date. if need jce, install joomla engine scratch again , install jce first before installing other components , perform check if jce working.
