Menus Not Showing Under Site Manager?

here's heads users of bc...

 

even well known bc gurus didn't know this, thought i'd share it.

 

after going nuts trying figure out why couldn't see "menu" button, contacted support, , figured out why.

 

for record - i'm not using muse this. , - first bc site, i'm learning few tricks go on.

 

all wanted customise template bit, , change menu reflect pages in template wanted show...

 

- nothing unusual in right?

 

wrong.

 

here's why:

 

if have set trial site on lowest webbasics plan (using template) , want edit menus, it's not going happen. because won't see menu function (as in following diagram)

 

 

on adobe sales page bc hosting:

it says there dynamic menu builder under webbasics+ or above.

 

so, suggest this:

 

before create trial site:

 

if want edit menus, need have more simple "webbasics" hosting plan, otherwise "menus" function won't show on left hand side...

 

...and if inadvertently this, there no way can upgrade it bc partner admin.

 

if want edit dynamic menus come template, must have web basics+ hosting option first, , then can manually request support "downgrade" hosting plan webbasics... after you've edited menus...

 

unbelievable, true!!

 

i gobsmacked couldn't such simple thing alter menu on lowest hosting plan.

 

anyway - that's taken hours of time, have built whole site scratch multiple times on not using bc...

 

..but i'm commited learning how beast works!! :-)

yes, kinda shocks me menus not avaiable? lowest of low plans need sort of menu page page.

 

i hope oversight , menus added lower plans. plan or site has pages needs menu.
