Thread: ALSA Config. Question Multiple Devices
problem needs solved:

capture audio multiple devices (on-board internal mic./line in, usb mic. etc...) , mux/merge 1 stream/device. plug'n'play support must. (if usb mic. unplugged , 1 plugged in there must way re'init system detects changes).

must have's:

system must able interface java in such way using java native targetdataline audio capture of mixed/muxed/merged stream works. (open alternatives, byte stream (bytebuffer) of captured audio data within java without using native targetdataline option)
os: ubuntu 10.10 (2.6.35-28-generic-pae #50-ubuntu i686 gnu/linux)
java version: latest

issue, jjack client , *.so not updated use latest jackd server. using version 1 of jackd , related jjack, audio captured within java silent. jackd has multiple x-runs, jjack , jackd don't connect.

issue, device wasn't ever setup due configuration issues.
so, next idea how configure alsa 'capture'/input devices place 1 virtual card, after which, jack launched , told use new virtual card. possible?
did manage make java conect jack?
tried loopback device, has issues
