Thread: question about installing Debian (or other distro)

good morning, -

interested in trying out other linux distros on starling. have installed distros (as bsds , plan9) on laptops before, it's familiar process part ... however, wondering if there system76-specific "gotchas" should aware of. don't want louse ubuntu installation, works fine ... @ least, not until have else working well.

presume it's okay install distro have in past, , install grub part of procedure, , on, dual boot netbook ...?

try debian first, understand folks have had luck with, , try slackware.

if interested in trying out the different distros, run them virtually in virtualbox or vmware player. can feel how work , find out if enjoy or not. if ubuntu works on netbook, sure distro to.
