Thread: R/W Access on Second Drive?

hi, all

(i'll front did research on ahead of asking. answers search pulls seem deal samba shares rather second physical drive, problem.)

okay. running (sadly) newest ubuntu (11.something), pain. however, that's neither here nor there; i'll deal own self.

pc has 6 hard drives (a sturdy old dell). c: xp os drive; totally devoted xp , general-use programs. ntfs. d, e , f ntfs drives different purposes (3d graphics, 2d graphics , audiovisual, in order). g: formatted fat32 it'd automatically accessible ubuntu, intended fully-install ubuntu time , give run money. ubuntu has drive (formatted linux file system), , today manually corrected grub had gotten lost , lost me ubuntu install. yay.

(and accepted upgrade version 11, has been headache get-go. i'm not suited utopia.)

anyway: said, g drive formated fat32 , somehow managed auto-mounted @ boot-up (wish remembered how). however, while auto-mounts , can see on (documents , mp3s), don't have write access it. 75% of pc use involves word processing, not being able save documents on document drive real hardship.

i'm assuming it's permissions mess-up somewhere can fix chmod or like, results searches coming setting write permissions on network , samba shares, , that's not case here.

g: physical second drive next ubuntu drive. it's read-only, , i'd set (permanently) read-write. not overly concerned security or anything, access.

can point me in direction need looking solve this?

thanks

davey
