Thread: Sparc Blade with large vertical stripes on screen

hi,

i've got 10.04 installed on blade 1000 workstation. installed 6.06 first , worked way per other postings. see attached cookbooks wrote.

framebuffer elite3d-lite, , have done afbinit install. using xorg w/ gnome , other windowing software eliminate possibility gnome. understand, ubuntu not require custom x11 conf file openbsd.

current screen output shows large vertical stripes, stripes overlay on top of gnome desktop. inside stripes prior boot screen output of ubuntu 10.04. when screen saver kicks in, gnome desktop disappears, blue 10.04 stays visible. mouse cursor moves across screen, under each stripe goes.

knowledge of framebuffers limited. imply framebuffer not "refreshing"?

screen not provide full width though correct openboot monitor configuration set.

haven't found mention of issue other ubuntu/linuxes sparc users.

attached x11 log. looking @ log, suspect need custom x11 config file.

ideas how troubleshoot or possibly fix this?

After Effect warning: A problem occurred when processing OpenGL commands

i have after effects cs6 in computer cs5.5 installed. 64bit windows 7 ultimate 20gb memory , 2 amd radeon hd 6900 series display adapters drivers updated hour ago (driver date 27.7.2012, version 8.982.0.0).   when trying use after ecffects, error message " after effect warning: problem occurred when processing opengl commands " when clicking composition window.   what done? not much, i'm afraid. need older graphics driver. other disable second card or play configuration. unfortunately not smart person decided cs6 no longer need manual opengl control user, there's no way suppress within program force-revert software-only modes in case of such issues...   mylenium More discussions in After Effects adobe
