Thread: Ubuntu - nVidia + ATI Radeon = happy user!

after suffering suspend/resume issues on dell studio xps year , half decided trash dell oem geforce 220 card. have run ubuntu 9.10 , 10.04 32 , 64 bit - suspend worked, resume sometime worked. other times x session crashed.

picked cheap msi r5450 ati radeon card wallmart.com. after removing nvidia card , stomping , doing same nvidia drivers installed ati card , drivers kicked configuration few times liking , tried suspend/resume. worked great.

completed 20th suspend/resume cycle since install. think can declare success. have suspend/resumed open oo.o documents, terminals, web browser , email sessions, centos vm guest running under vmware player, remote desktop viewer connected centos vm, xp vm, centos vm in mid reboot, xp vm connected open pgp disk file on samba share on ubuntu host, , backup script in process. can't seem break suspend/resume.

have 2 monitors , 4 destops on each. can have sorts of things running , not have worry restarting them when resume pc. wow! running real operating system. mvs

After Effect warning: A problem occurred when processing OpenGL commands

i have after effects cs6 in computer cs5.5 installed. 64bit windows 7 ultimate 20gb memory , 2 amd radeon hd 6900 series display adapters drivers updated hour ago (driver date 27.7.2012, version 8.982.0.0).   when trying use after ecffects, error message " after effect warning: problem occurred when processing opengl commands " when clicking composition window.   what done? not much, i'm afraid. need older graphics driver. other disable second card or play configuration. unfortunately not smart person decided cs6 no longer need manual opengl control user, there's no way suppress within program force-revert software-only modes in case of such issues...   mylenium More discussions in After Effects adobe
