Thread: Wine appears on right click but not in apps

v11.04 64bit
i've installed wine using software center , chose stable version.
installed, , if right click on exe, option run wine there - however, won't run exe considered non executable.

check in applications, , not there.... type in wine, , appears option download.... app winetricks there, configure_wine (which i've done, maybe incorrectly).

searched ubuntu forums wine, , found here, , read 'before asking file' mentions prob, link takes me wine debian sid, seems deal unstable releases.

that's i'm at.

intention run:
pegasus mail
nikon photo transfer (cos ubuntu can't see camera on usb
time & chaos 16bit - export data, can use in app.

can help, or point me thread deals this.

okay, saw thread 'i broke wine' - 1 poster suggesting use uninstaller, worked.
able install pegasus mail, , nikon suite.

prob couldn't see cd drive, created new temp folder, , copied cd it.
install nikon suite.
however, nikon progs not see nikon camera attached via usb.

i'm wondering if stable version of wine old function correctly 11.04 64bit.

next task check nikon site 64bit drivers - maybe work under wine.

After Effect warning: A problem occurred when processing OpenGL commands

i have after effects cs6 in computer cs5.5 installed. 64bit windows 7 ultimate 20gb memory , 2 amd radeon hd 6900 series display adapters drivers updated hour ago (driver date 27.7.2012, version 8.982.0.0).   when trying use after ecffects, error message " after effect warning: problem occurred when processing opengl commands " when clicking composition window.   what done? not much, i'm afraid. need older graphics driver. other disable second card or play configuration. unfortunately not smart person decided cs6 no longer need manual opengl control user, there's no way suppress within program force-revert software-only modes in case of such issues...   mylenium More discussions in After Effects adobe
