Thread: xubuntu installation stucks in a logo

i love ubuntu(32 bit) have installed in old desktop pc.so decided put xubuntu 11.04 in brand new hp 64 bit laptop(windows 7 pre-installed in it).
laptop details are:
processor: core i3-380m,2.53 ghz
graphics: ati radeon, 1gb
ram: 3gb,ddr3
harddisk: 320 gb
downloaded xubuntu 11.04 (desktop.amd64.iso) 64 bit laptop , burned dvd.after inserting dvd in laptop while booting asked select language.after selecting language shown screen : try xubuntu,install xubuntu,check errors,etc things.when select try xubuntu or select install xubuntu shown xubuntu logo.previously waited 1 hour thinking installation procedure badly stucks there , laptop makes noisy sound , gets heated , hangs no button works ,so remove battery turn off laptop.i tried procedure 6 times since yesterday everytime stucks in logo making loud noise , heating laptop
newbie linux plz explain solution of problem in simple language
in advance

that has happened me too. downloaded , burned .iso again , worked.

don't think benefit 64 bit version 3gb of ram, way.

After Effect warning: A problem occurred when processing OpenGL commands

i have after effects cs6 in computer cs5.5 installed. 64bit windows 7 ultimate 20gb memory , 2 amd radeon hd 6900 series display adapters drivers updated hour ago (driver date 27.7.2012, version 8.982.0.0).   when trying use after ecffects, error message " after effect warning: problem occurred when processing opengl commands " when clicking composition window.   what done? not much, i'm afraid. need older graphics driver. other disable second card or play configuration. unfortunately not smart person decided cs6 no longer need manual opengl control user, there's no way suppress within program force-revert software-only modes in case of such issues...   mylenium More discussions in After Effects adobe
