11.4.402.265 playback and sound issues

fp version 11.4.402.265 - audio , playback issues please please help!  playback erratic , patchy, sound scratchy , static ever since new version of adobe flash player installed , safari won't let me go older version.  have tried disable hardware acceleration , uninstall , reinstall several times. @ wits end system:  2011 macbook air, mac os x 10.7.4, safari version 6.0 (7536.25), intel hd graphics 3000 , stable , strong broadband connection.
