Problems across our organisation
hi all,
newbie here go easy on me...
one of our teams @ work receiving training 3rd party company delivers material via adobe connect webinars. having great difficulty in receiving them, multiple users having webinar load, play few seconds (always less 10, 3 seconds) freeze. after 30 seconds in looks “paused” , main video feed shows black box , presentation slides disappear.
all users have @ least 512mb ram (most 1 or 2gb, more); 90% using ie7, ie8; every user has @ least 1.4ghz intel pentium 4 processor (majority have core2duo – have i3/i5). again, 90% on xp, on 7 (all windows os) – running custom, in house build. flash player & connect plugins latest available.
we have 2 connections; our main domain enterprise uses proxies connect , users outside of dept. connect using. connection supports approximately 80 users @ our head office & 100meg leased line. have standard adsl connection used wireless lan – accessible staff.
some pcs can connect , watch webinars fine either on lan or wireless. others seems work on wireless, others works on lan. final few doesn’t work on either.
the wlan has no access/distribution layer switches behind access point; literally copper pair filter, router – i.e. resembles residential network. i.e. there no proxies, firewalls, traffic policing or other forms of qos. 2mb connection & when tested done 1 machine @ time.
can suggest why maybe happening? fault looks buffering video – i.e. frozen picture , loading circle. likelihood of being issue @ hosts end? there known errors should aware of?
thanks in advance replies
has no body ever come across this? no suggestions @ all? starting point?
