Thread: can't boot my lvm partition(ubuntu 9.04)


hi,

can't boot lvm partition.


gives alert /dev/mapper/lmspv1-lmslv1 not found error
before give error of not finding physical volume given uuid.

1. have swap disks here n there m not sure if uuid changes due this.
2. exit again , again intrifms not work think not rootdelay problem.
3. how come can't see lvm partition uuid calling ls -l /dev/disk/by-uuid.
4. tried lvdisplay gives me same physical device missing error uuid on boot.

when run vgchange -a y
got messasge

couldn't find device uuid 'ivb13y-ul95-8ash-brkf-fxey-hb7x-kusmzj'.
couldn't find physical volumes volume group lmsvg1.
couldn't find device uuid 'ivb13y-ul95-8ash-brkf-fxey-hb7x-kusmzj'.
couldn't find physical volumes volume group lmsvg1.
volume group "lmsvg1" not found

can see lvm partition in gparted /dev/sda2 information sign
