Thread: Can't delete partition (gparted)

howdy!

i've installed ubuntu on external usb hard-drive on 25gb partition. anyways, whilst upgrading packages, computer shut down , booting partition became impossible. i've tried recovering using live cd wouldn't give. i'm booting mint live cd (testing out) trying delete partition make space another. problem is, it's ''locked'' , wont give me option anything. tried manually deleting files ''delete'' option grayed out...

ideas? i'm positive there freaky sudo stuff make work... can't seem remember though.

oh , when checked permissions, says root, read being option (everything grayed out).

make sure partition not mounted. if mounted, can unmount gparted right clicking partition , selecting "unmount"
