Thread: Gnome scroll bars in 11.04

hi folks,

need 11.04 here. driving me spare , tricks 10.10 don't work more.

due cut , paste bug kmail, had bite bullet , upgrade 10.10.

personal opinion on unity interface documented, won't repeat thoughts here. needless i'm using gnome desktop mode.

however, scroll bars have changed sort of pop-out handle thing causing me lot of heartache.

design , coding stuff, have lot of fonts on board , in gimp, i'm having trouble scrolling fonts ... well, can't because every time try , grab pop-out scroll tab, disappears. leaves me scroll wheel real pain when you've got lot of fonts work through.

coding window, lot of clicking on end of line, or beginning of line right next smaller side-window left of coding window. coding window @ full screen, means scroll tab pops out right , stops me clicking on code, or else pops out left window. net result i've got click further in line , press home or end, or else tap cursor few times.

making tabs, particularly ones on bottom of screen, harder hit. whether fate or what, don't know particularly bluefish, files opened tabs on bottom left of editor window, whenever go down hit one, horizontal scroll tab pops out on top of it. i've got on shoot tab , come @ below.

might seem small fry, when i'm concentrating on task, little things driving me absolute distraction. has been such pain in neck @ 1 point broke down , cried because couldn't needed do. linux ... shock ... horror ... getting in way of work flow.

desperately need these scroll bars how used be. screwing me up.

yours in desperation ... windows 7 installation disk standing by, because i've had enough of unity , changes have come result.

these pretty examples on how such pure design decision can impact workflow extent makes go crazy.

please see here how revert usual scroll bars:
