Thread: How to disable encfs?

set few machines yesterday test out parallel code. fun, selected "encrypt users files" option when setting ubuntu (10.10). had never used option in years past.

i'm finding pain. eg., ssh requires me have login machine before let me log in w/o password (eg., using id_rsa.pub , authorized_keys).

similarly, have no reason encrypt files on these machines. they're crunching numbers.

there easy way disable this? or need delete original user , make 1 (with su privelages, etc...) w/o encrypted file system / home directory.

thanks,

d

there steps remove encryption here:

decide easier (new user or modify old).

ssh, edit /etc/ssh/sshd_config , put authorized keys outside of home
