Thread: raid like multiple computers mirrored data

this has been answered before, don't know how form search find out...

have redundant data , backups folders on multiple ubuntu servers.

transparent when read file, 1 server, when write goes both.

ideally, write both machines simultaneously. further, nice if data transmitted other workstations once on network minimize file write time. failing that, send data "primary" backup "secondary" backup after fact more minimize network congestion.

had power failure here , hosed 1 of servers had backups (i know, know, need more ups's.) fortunatly 3 of 4 drives survived , lost os, not backups, made me want more robust backup system.

way can think have multiple machines redundant data (not hard, have accumulated lot of hard drives on years.)
