Thread: Trying to install Ubuntu 64-bit 11.04 - not enough space?


ok, i've been trying install ubuntu 11.04 64-bit on new desktop couple of days now... started off putting ubuntu on usb stick because have no cd-rom in computer... boot usb stick, proceed install, installation tells me lack enough space install ubuntu on machine.

@ first thought ubuntu somehow thought wanted install on usb stick, , not hdd, managed borrow external cd-rom, guess what, same problem.

have ssd (60 gb capacity), should plenty of space ubuntu. have windows 7 64-bit on it, there's still on 30 gb of unused space.

can tell me why happening? thanks!

how big partition you're trying install to? or using windows installer aka wubi?
