Creating 2 page spread in portrait mode...

i plan folio in portrait mode. have noticed in various digital publications (like fast company) advertisements cover considered "spread" in print world.

it assumption "ad" need suppled or created in 2 diffrent files. 1 file have left hand side of page , other right hand side of page (perfect splice of course).

then uploaded seperate files once folio created end user swipe left hand side of spread right. appear sepeate pages in quick view mode. repeat process 3 page 4 page portrait spread etc..

i'd make lead spread story. assume take approach (mentioned above) , right hand/second page of spread connected document includes full editorial.

am missing anything? or wrong in perception of how create these portrait spreads

another way thought of creating spreads place image (built 1280 x 720 ) scrolling text box on single portrait page , have user swipe in horizontal direction , can swipe down  read full editorial.

sorry if sounds elementary want double check assumption on how done before laying out , want tell advertisers once decide supply 2 page spread ad first time many of them used creating traditonal print spreads.

thanks in advance.

your thinking right. best approach split them 2 pages , upload them separate articles. if aligned well, reader's standpoint, looks two-page spread when reading.

putting scrollable frame problematic user won't able swipe horiziontally next article. scrollable frame catch horizontal movement , use scroll content inside frame.
