fail U44M2I218 updating CS6 dps desktop tools

i watched adobe.tv demo of folio usage, , decided try it.

 

i booted indesign purchased part of cs6 upgrade, , opened folio builder window.

 

it asked me log in adobeid. did so, , got message folio software out of date. tried letting adobe updater find indesign needed upgrade -- said not. pressed link, downloaded 2.03 updater, stopped indesign, , tried run it.

 

the updater failed, adobe application manager window referring me log file. opened log file, , said:

 

dps desktop tools cs6 2.03 update

there error installing update. please quit , try again later. error code: u44m2i218

 

great help, in 1964 mainframe software great. error code 0 explanation? try later?? phase of moon? let aware in past experienced @ designing highly complex software -- natural language/graphical etc.. haven't told me thing here.

 

i try web, , error code exists adobe, has no reference particular dps package, on or off adobe site. there occasional terse, quite unpleasantly phrased, , entirely uniformative adobe person responses other packages - no further comment make on aspect, arrogance should ashamed.

 

while trying proper window names article, start indesign cs6 again. folio builder mini-window open, left on last run. seems operate -- in common other failed packages mentioned on web code.

 

- on earth u44m2i218 _mean_?

- 'later', in 'try again later'?

- how know update actuallly worked, or update level on?

- why didn't normal adobe update manager take care of recognizing , unstalling update, has quite many design/web premium cs6?

 

don't think bit of mess?

 

thanks fix. i'll go , post on bug reporter recommended, no longer able find if hadn't kept original fail window open. oh. it's generic we-don't-really-want-to-hear-so-fix-it-yourself maxi-page. think can drill ability speak, given enough patience.

 

well, couldn't. ended right here. thinking thousands of dollars , many, many hours , others have given on years, , personal involvement.

you have know, every 6 8 weeks there new version of dps. folio builder panel reacting instantly, if new 1 comes out. issuing date v22 yesterday, can take few hours days new version available through automatic update system of indesign cs6.

 

there should direct download link somewhere recent version of  tools…
