Thread: Need help with my cd/dvd drive

ok, first of not sure if right area forgive me if it's not. having issues dvd/cd drive. using hp compaq presario cq61-42ous. last week able play dvd on laptop fine without problems. yesterday, due work related reasons tried re-install win 7 recovery disks had made earlier. first dvd read fine second one... never loaded. checked dvd's on husband's laptop , read , load fine it's not case of damaged dvd.

cancelled operation , gone ubuntu 11.04 , none of cd's or dvd's read. suggestions do, appreciated.

maybe lens got dirty? try cleaning compressed air can (never use physical contact lens, scratches them).

if possible, try usb drive confirm problem drive.

if install windows first , ubuntu, should able share disk both , choose os @ boot.

After Effect warning: A problem occurred when processing OpenGL commands

i have after effects cs6 in computer cs5.5 installed. 64bit windows 7 ultimate 20gb memory , 2 amd radeon hd 6900 series display adapters drivers updated hour ago (driver date 27.7.2012, version 8.982.0.0).   when trying use after ecffects, error message " after effect warning: problem occurred when processing opengl commands " when clicking composition window.   what done? not much, i'm afraid. need older graphics driver. other disable second card or play configuration. unfortunately not smart person decided cs6 no longer need manual opengl control user, there's no way suppress within program force-revert software-only modes in case of such issues...   mylenium More discussions in After Effects adobe
