What happened to the brightness slider in LR 4.1?
i don't see equivalent brightness slider in basic panel of develop module of lr 4.1, , cannot imagine why adobe choose rid of basic of adjustments options has been feature of every photo editing program have ever seen.
brightness in lr 3 (i did not use lr 4.0, know had brightness slider) way boost luminence in mid-tones without blowing out highlights readily. "whites", in basic panel of lr 4.1's develop module -- if indeed intended lr 4.1's answer brightness slider -- on on other hand, seems blow out whites before accomplishing else (hence full name "white clipping"). boosting "shadows" slider in 4.1 seems same thing adding fill light in lr 3, , "blacks" slider in 4.1 has been inverted , has negative side same thing increasing "blacks" did before, whereas increasing on positive side lifts darkest tones, capability wasn't possible in lr 3. right, far?
all , good, except adobe inexplicably dispensing brightness slider. question, stated in subject heading of post is, why rid of function seems necessary , intuitive, , has been replaced with, in case missing something?
the brightness slider removed in lightroom 4 introduction of new process version 2012. entire new rendering algorithm of raw data.
i suggest @ this tutorial on new features in develop module.
