Has anyone found a fix to Captivate 5.5's inability to open?

hi,

when attempting open captivate 5.5, receive error, 'localized resource files application not loaded...'

i receive microsoft visual c++ runtime library error: 'runtime error! ... application has requested runtime terminate in unusual way...'

i uninstalled , reinstalled same outcome. install directory not on c:\ drive; installed on d:\ drive - partition of c:\.

any can lend appreciated.

do have details around error message, when click on "click here details".

also, has ever launched ? if yes, changes / installation made machine?

could try rename preference fodler has information regarding workspace elements might have gone corrupted.

windows vista , windows 7: c:\users\[user name]\appdata\local\adobe\adobe captivate 5.5 folder
windows xp: c:\documents , settings\[user name]\local settings\application data\adobe\adobe captivate 5.5 folder

then try relaunching again.
