Lightroom 4.1 crashes when Import button is clicked

i'm writing in hopes can resolution issue. out of nowhere, lightroom quit responding import command. don't understand 1 day working fine, , next, has ceased altogether.

i have not attempted @ point in time, wanted error out there appropriate people checking situation. hope resolved without having reinstall everything.
