PPro v2 chroma keys - help?

i'm working on movie clip, i'm following lesson 13-4 ppro classroom in book, , want use chroma key key out sky in sequence , superimpose alien sky onto clip. i've got still image of alien sky.

 

here's did far: moved video clip video 1 video 3 , still image video 1. i'm trying drag chroma key effects panel onto 1 of video tracks indicated in lesson, keep getting symbol circle slash through try drag chroma key onto 1 of video tracks.

 

i'm bit confused place chroma key in order key out sky @ point - in video 1, video 2 or video 3 tracks , place before clip starts or after clip ends?

 

how can drag chroma key onto appropriate track without getting "no" symbol?

 

also, i'm bit confused instructions lesson - first says drag the photos onto video 1 , video 2 tracks (but i'm working 1 photo @ point) , says place photos after clip worked on earlier - mean?

i use cs3 , dont have lesson following. typically drag effects on top of video want effect work on. dont drop before or after clip right on top of clip... no symbol should disappear when on clip.

After Effect warning: A problem occurred when processing OpenGL commands

i have after effects cs6 in computer cs5.5 installed. 64bit windows 7 ultimate 20gb memory , 2 amd radeon hd 6900 series display adapters drivers updated hour ago (driver date 27.7.2012, version 8.982.0.0).   when trying use after ecffects, error message " after effect warning: problem occurred when processing opengl commands " when clicking composition window.   what done? not much, i'm afraid. need older graphics driver. other disable second card or play configuration. unfortunately not smart person decided cs6 no longer need manual opengl control user, there's no way suppress within program force-revert software-only modes in case of such issues...   mylenium More discussions in After Effects adobe
