Thread: Deleting folders that "don't" exist


i alluded in thread had posted, no 1 seems responding there.

problem have folder had been "lost", meaning isn't seen either windows or ubuntu. able recover data folder using program off ultimate boot cd windows called handy recovery, don't know how rid of folder , files had backed up. "what's problem if it's gone?" might ask? because hard drive space being taken files. can't access these files, yet still there taking space.

programs available on ubuntu rid of these files (and these files *only*) without wiping out partition?

can ask how ascertained files still occupying disk space?
