Thread: Help with offset desktop graphics

if log out of initial login session, login w/ username+password screen *sometimes* shifted right (so power icon on bottom right off-screen, , have black column on left).

when log account, same shift *sometimes* happens, independent of whether or not login screen shifted.

user switching *sometimes* results in same behavior (it's not logging in , out).

have logged in using different desktop manager (openbox), , have had no issues (so far) shifted graphics. logging out openbox, login screen still *sometimes* has shift.

suggestions on issue may be, things check, etc.?

64-bit ubuntu, running amd graphics driver.

thanks!

seems grahic driver issue. if have xorg.conf, remove kernel directly deal x. otherwise, purge reinstall driver synaptic
, watch logs find usefull errors
