Thread: php regex help

i'm trying add feature 1 of php applications, i'm not sure how approach it.

have chunk of text this:

response message wrote    , wrote on 1/1/1900 @ 12:00  >this original message  >which respond  >blah blah blah

what i'd lines begin ">", remove ">", , wrap lot of them in html tags looks this:

code:

response message wrote    , wrote on 1/1/1900 @ 12:00  <div id=quoted>  original message  respond  blah blah blah  </div>

i suppose brute-force this, there snazzy regex way of doing it?
