Thread: trouble using the SCP comand.

hello everyone,

pretty brand spanking new , having issues. trying transfer copy of software , settings new computer. using ubuntu 11.04
trying install ubuntu on new computer old computer. not sure doing. use help.


discoron@00disco71:~$ scp discorron@ubuntu: /home/discoron/installed-software
ssh: connect host ubuntu port 22: connection refused


thank assistance in resolving issue.

whatever want do, not way it, please elaborate.

error, must have openssh server installed on remote machine, it's in package openssh-server.
