Thread: Two Radeon HD 2400 XT video cards in one system

hi all,

have hp/compaq 7900 sff pc , has motherboard 2 pcie x16 slots. have 2 hd 2400 xt (each dual head) video cards, thought drop them in there , have 4 monitors off desktop

i've popped them in there , done fresh install of ubuntu 11.04. rebooted, installed restricted drivers, rebooted, , have both monitors attached first video card. works expected, can configure monitors how want.

if attach third monitor other video card, can't see anywhere in control center configure video card or monitor.

ideas if video card supported in configuration? should try driver directly off ati site?

ok, fixored! put video cards in system 1 @ time in different slots, confirm both cards worked, confirming both pci-e slots worked, , have confirmed works, i've got (four) monitors attached , configured, yay!

don't know going on first day, fixed

After Effect warning: A problem occurred when processing OpenGL commands

i have after effects cs6 in computer cs5.5 installed. 64bit windows 7 ultimate 20gb memory , 2 amd radeon hd 6900 series display adapters drivers updated hour ago (driver date 27.7.2012, version 8.982.0.0).   when trying use after ecffects, error message " after effect warning: problem occurred when processing opengl commands " when clicking composition window.   what done? not much, i'm afraid. need older graphics driver. other disable second card or play configuration. unfortunately not smart person decided cs6 no longer need manual opengl control user, there's no way suppress within program force-revert software-only modes in case of such issues...   mylenium More discussions in After Effects adobe
