Can't change "Submit" e-mail address
my business using secured pdf document obtain sensitive information our clients. on particular pdf, there 2 functional submit buttons set , third submit button above document, on purple bar next "highlight existing fields" button.
unfortunately, person created document has long since left company, while address document no longer valid or accessible. we'd change buttons forward pdf address, , have tried numerous tactics in vain. i'm left task, i'm not tech savvy i'd be. furthest i've gotten far:
1) first submit form created using java script: swapped old e-mail address new one. unfortunately when clicked, still prompts user e-mail address, full name, , displays old e-mail address above target.
2) second submit button created using adobe's standard "submit form" feature. changed e-mail address there well, once again, clicking brings same prompt old e-mail address.
3) third submit button @ top of screen otherwise untouchable. if select it, no prompt comes up, , presume document sent old e-mail address.
is hopeless due security of document? there no editing file? have build scratch?
i'm using acrobat 10, way.
the button in purple bar present when form put through distribute form process. process converts other submit buttons finds same thing. it's not clear me how you're managing edit form , whether you're re-distributing it. there number of other things added when document when it's distributed, can removed if know you're doing, means don't have start scratch. if you're free email me form, i'd happy you: acroscript @ gmail dot com
one lesson here retain version of form before reader-enabling or distributing.
