Thread: Computer freezes when removing USB drive

hi,

few days ago upgraded kubuntu 11.04. after solving several issues (unity not working properly, use unity 2d), thought worked fine, , does, until remove external drive connected via usb "remove safely". computer freezes while removing , can't switch off.

idea how solve problem?

i'm not sure "remove safely" does. normally, snatch them out. can try right click , use "unmount" option before removing device , see gives you.
