i consider myself novice i've been using ubuntu (on , off) since ubuntu 7. yet again, i'm trying make switch windows ubuntu it's not easy one. ran few problems far.

1) ubuntu software center not open

2) banshee - every time go add music folder (on qnap nas) closes/crashes without error.

3) don't agree visual changes in ubuntu 11, how can make more ubuntu 10?

4) how permanently add qnap nas (network drive)? can go "network" , it's there , can right click , go "send to" , select "desktop" seems make shortcut session.

i've done googling , haven't found solutions yet. appreciated.

you, can make windependent.

1) ubuntu software center not open

this quite broad problem. how attempting open usc, gui or terminal? recommend running

code:

sudo apt-get update & apt-get -f install

then try open usc terminal, , post error messages gives you.

fair enough, they're not everyone, , you'll see on here, there fair few people you. when logging in 11.04, should see @ bottom of screnn drop-down (well drop-up) menu different environments can boot into. select "ubuntu classic" nice 10.10 looking environment.

sorry, no idea qnap nas is, i'm sure on here has dealt before.
