hello. have decided change windows ubuntu, given able run of windows has offer (via wine) on ubuntu. though still getting used doing things via command line in ubuntu, think better windows in many ways...

gaming, , 1 of problems having cannot seem grand theft auto: san andreas work wine , ubuntu. still learning ubuntu , find things, please go easy on me! have retail copy of game, no-cd patch "gta_sa.exe" file (it's easier, plus read somewhere it's better run cracked game wine). every time go run wine (even smallest programs) gives me message; "the program winemenubuilder.exe has encountered error , needs close." when attempt load gta_sa.exe, game opens game window remain black , can't anything. other programs, error appears , program freezes.

enlighten me?

try opening though console , see if gives more informative error output.
without quotes.
"cd /path app directory/"
enter
"wine gta_sa.exe"

looked winemenubuilder.exe on wine faq , found can disable if not change filetype associations, add menu items, or create desktop links.

After Effect warning: A problem occurred when processing OpenGL commands

i have after effects cs6 in computer cs5.5 installed. 64bit windows 7 ultimate 20gb memory , 2 amd radeon hd 6900 series display adapters drivers updated hour ago (driver date 27.7.2012, version 8.982.0.0).   when trying use after ecffects, error message " after effect warning: problem occurred when processing opengl commands " when clicking composition window.   what done? not much, i'm afraid. need older graphics driver. other disable second card or play configuration. unfortunately not smart person decided cs6 no longer need manual opengl control user, there's no way suppress within program force-revert software-only modes in case of such issues...   mylenium More discussions in After Effects adobe
