Thread: Help! Random Freezes and Crashes on Kubuntu 11.04

hey all,
i've been running kubuntu 11.04 couple weeks , trying transition away windows have had problem seemingly random system freezing , crashing

run kubuntu 11.04 64bit on dell studio 1558 core i5, intel hd graphics, , 6gb ram

laptop after awhile freeze , can hard reset, screen go black bunch of text, think happens when virtualbox running b/c can desktop, freeze nevertheless (i run win7 in vbox things need itunes , office).. notice laptop getting pretty warm, don't know if that's related b/c did under windows

don't know if , issue x, kde, ubuntu, driver or kernel issue

i have found myself kubuntu unstable too, recommend move ubuntu, more stable. if definetly want kde, ive heard better stories people installing ubuntu base system, , installing kde manually.

After Effect warning: A problem occurred when processing OpenGL commands

i have after effects cs6 in computer cs5.5 installed. 64bit windows 7 ultimate 20gb memory , 2 amd radeon hd 6900 series display adapters drivers updated hour ago (driver date 27.7.2012, version 8.982.0.0).   when trying use after ecffects, error message " after effect warning: problem occurred when processing opengl commands " when clicking composition window.   what done? not much, i'm afraid. need older graphics driver. other disable second card or play configuration. unfortunately not smart person decided cs6 no longer need manual opengl control user, there's no way suppress within program force-revert software-only modes in case of such issues...   mylenium More discussions in After Effects adobe
